Privacy and data handling

Answer Surface is designed to collect only what is needed to run a public-page AI readiness audit, unlock the report, and discuss the findings with you.

Effective July 16, 2026

What the audit processes

The scanner temporarily reads publicly available HTML, response headers, robots.txt, sitemaps, and same-site links from the website you submit. It does not log in, submit forms, access private analytics, or retain downloaded HTML.

What is stored

We store the normalized website address, audit scores, findings, and report. If you unlock the full report, we also store your first name, email, optional company, consent record, referring-site origin, landing-page path, and whitelisted campaign tags.

What is not stored

We do not persist raw website HTML, account credentials, private analytics, full browsing history, full referring URLs, or visitor IP addresses in the lead database. We do not sell personal information.

How the information is used

Audit and lead details are used to display the report, understand its source, and follow up about the findings and potential website work. Hosting and database providers process this information only to operate the service.

Retention

Audit and lead records are automatically pruned after 180 days. Records may be removed sooner when they are no longer needed or when a valid deletion request is received.

Your choices

You can run the preview without submitting contact details. To request deletion or correction after unlocking a report, reply to any follow-up message you receive and identify the audited website.
